2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by an external service provider (Railway Corp., USA), which processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Each time a page is called up, our provider automatically records information that your browser transmits:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • Date and time of the request
  • Address of the requested page
  • Browser type, browser version and operating system
  • Referring page, if transmitted by your browser

This processing is necessary to deliver the website reliably and securely and to detect misuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Log data is deleted or anonymised as soon as it is no longer required for these purposes.

3. Cookies

We use cookies only where they are needed to make the site work. They are not used to build advertising profiles.

  • Access cookie for the password-protected area — keeps you signed in for up to 30 days.
  • Language cookie — remembers the language you selected for up to twelve months.
  • Session cookie for the ticket board — set only after you sign in with Google, and removed when you sign out.

These cookies are technically necessary for the functions you requested; the legal basis is § 25 (2) TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Cookies that are not technically necessary — such as analytics cookies, see section 6 — are set only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future.

We also keep a record of your banner decision on our server: the time, the language you read it in, the page you were on, a random identifier for your browser and a salted checksum of your IP address. This is the proof we are required to be able to produce under Art. 7 (1) GDPR. The identifier exists solely so that a later withdrawal can be matched to the consent it revokes — it is not used to recognise you for any other purpose.

4. Fonts and external libraries

This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts and a 3D graphics library from the jsDelivr content delivery network. When a page is opened, your browser connects to those servers, which means your IP address is transmitted to the respective provider (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC, USA; jsDelivr, operated by Prospect One). This allows the pages to be displayed as designed; the legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We have no influence on any further processing by these providers.

5. Sign-in and ticket board

Members of our team and invited users can sign in with a Google account to report issues on the ticket board. In this case we receive your name, your email address and, where available, your profile picture from Google, and we store the tickets you create together with your description, any screenshot you attach and the resulting correspondence.

Notifications about your tickets are sent by email through a mail service provider acting on our behalf. The legal basis for processing is the performance of our contractual or pre-contractual relationship with you under Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, and otherwise our legitimate interest in handling reported issues under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

6. Google Analytics

Important: nothing is measured until you agree. Google Analytics is only loaded after you have actively allowed statistics in the cookie banner, and it is not requested at all before that. You can change your choice at any time on this page under “Cookies”; if you withdraw, measurement stops and the cookies Google has set are deleted.

With your consent we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyse how visitors use this website. The information generated typically includes:

  • Pages viewed, time spent and interactions on the site
  • Shortened IP address, approximate region, device type and browser
  • Referring source, such as a search engine or campaign link

IP anonymisation is enabled, so your address is shortened within the EU before any transfer. Data may nevertheless be transmitted to Google LLC in the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of protection.

The legal basis is exclusively your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG. You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future through the cookie settings. Analytics data is stored for a maximum of 14 months and then deleted automatically.

7. Advertising measurement

Important: nothing is measured until you agree, and this is a separate decision from statistics. You can allow page statistics while refusing advertising measurement, or the other way round. Nothing for advertising is loaded or requested before you have actively allowed it in the cookie banner.

With your consent we measure which of our adverts led to an enquiry, and we may show our advert again to people who have already visited this site. This uses services provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The information involved typically includes:

  • The advert or campaign link you arrived through
  • Whether you then carried out an action such as sending an enquiry
  • Shortened IP address, device type and browser

Data may be transmitted to Google LLC in the USA. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of protection; in addition, standard contractual clauses apply to these transfers.

The legal basis is exclusively your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG. You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future through the cookie settings. We do not create advertising profiles about individuals, and we do not combine this data with the contact details you send us in an enquiry.

8. Contacting us

If you contact us by email, we process the details you provide in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract, and otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We keep this correspondence for as long as it is needed, and longer only where statutory retention periods apply.

9. Encryption

This site uses TLS encryption for all connections. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the "https://" prefix in the address bar of your browser.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access to the data we hold about you (Art. 15)
  • Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
  • Erasure of your data (Art. 17)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18)
  • Data portability (Art. 20)
  • Objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21)
  • Withdrawal of any consent you have given, with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3))

To exercise these rights, an email to info@addmic.de is enough — we will respond without undue delay.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Saxon Commissioner for Data Protection and Transparency, Devrientstraße 5, 01067 Dresden, Germany.

11. Changes to this policy

We update this privacy policy whenever changes to our website or to the services we use make it necessary — for example when web analytics is switched on. The current version always applies.
